Section Snap privacy
Effective October 8, 2026
Section Snap captures parts of webpages as images. It is built so that your pages and captures stay on your device.
What it reads
Only the tab where you click the Section Snap icon or press its shortcut, and only while you use it. It reads that page's layout, styles, images and fonts to find sections and draw your capture.
What it stores
- Your captures, their names, sizes, tags, source page address and design info, in the extension's storage on your device.
- Your capture options (format, scale, frame).
You can delete any capture from the Library. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored.
What it sends
Nothing. Section Snap has no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising. To draw a capture it downloads the images and fonts that the page itself uses, directly from the sites that host them. If those sites need permission, Section Snap asks you first.
Sharing
Section Snap does not sell, share or transfer any data. Captures leave your device only when you copy, save or share them yourself.
